I waste more time dealing with their terrible software then enjoying life. Yeh I've been having nothing but problems with these companies.Įven once they are nice & answer questions, then I start using their service & I have nothing but problems. I hope this is it although they said their VPN shuts down the Internet (I guess I have to put up with that part) & I'm not seeing that happen so I wrote them yesterday & hope to get a response tomorrow. Pure VPN has good service, but they keep some logs & will out you so I didn't go with them. They said they'd refund the payment from a day earlier & they never did so I had to get Pay Pal involved.įinding a VPN with good customer service is hard. Not even an apology the next morning so I said I've had enough of this BS, I'm switching.
In the end they went to sleep leaving me stranded & my VPN hadn't been working for 48 hours. Then the last time they strung me along for 7 hours giving me incomplete instructions telling me they would come onto my computer when Dave was finished with another customer. They did the first few times, then tried to get me to fix their issues for them which I would have been happy to do if it was something simple, but it never was.
They also wouldn't come onto my computer & fix it. And then problems with their VPN not reconnecting when I plugged my laptop back in.
There were always issues when it came time to update. Then with Liquid VPN I was with them for several months. They are a rip off & refused to answer all my e-mails, they just ignored me. The first I never used b/c they only had a German IP & they refused to refund me saying I used it when I hadn't. Now that I know their cs sucks, then for sure I won't go with them.
Heavy users might need more than uTorrent's free client offers, but the rest of us will find it more than sufficient, with the usual caveats about P2P sharing.I looked into them & had discounted them b/c their kill switch shuts EVERYTHING down, not just utorrent. Music and video producers often post exclusive tunes and clips in promo bundles, for example.
ConsĪd-heavy: Ads in freeware don't bother us (much) but uTorrents are geared toward young adult males, and some of the online services they advertise might not be appropriate for some users.Ĭopyright issues: It's illegal to use BitTorrent (or any P2P network or technology) to post or download copyrighted material (music, movies, games) and uTorrent makes that clear with a note in the setup process. RSS feeds: RSS auto-downloading makes for speedy feed updates. Help, FAQs, forums, a Web page, and other resources are at hand. Tabs manage Files, Info, Peers, Ratings, Trackers, and Speed.
We could set uTorrent to start with Windows handy for scheduling downloads.Įasy to use: A customizable user interface let us display a lot of information and buttons or keep it clean with just the basics. ProsĮasy to set up: The setup wizard can automatically add an exception for uTorrent in Windows Firewall, though you may have to configure uTorrent manually in other firewalls or security apps. Animated ads for games and other software keep uTorrent free, but the developer warns of counterfeits that charge for the software or subscriptions.
It has what other BitTorrent clients have, such as scheduling, bandwidth management, and Mainline DHT, plus extras like a unique protocol that detects and corrects for heavy traffic. If you're looking for a good BitTorrent client, try uTorrent.
